Hi all Happy Valentine's Day! Well I hope you have enjoyed your day with the ones you loved. My fiance is sadly working and we could not spend the day together but we did go out to dinner over the weekend. I will be making him a steak when he comes home from work today which is his favorite. But I do have a tag to share with you. This tag of course is inspired by Mr. Tim Holtz himself. It is for his 12 tags of 2012. Totally got my creative juices going and since I won Tim's new stamps I had most of the materials to create it! Yay!

So I posted a video of this but I wanted to share pictures of my Stampers Anonymous Twitter Win! When I found out I won I was so excited but when I actually got my package I almost died! They picked 12 winners to get Tim Holtz's brand new stamp sets he just released at CHA. Well I figured since Tim released 12 new sets and they picked 12 winners we would each get a set. WRONG! We each got all 12 BRAND NEW TIM HOLTZ STAMPS!! AAAAAAahhhhhh! I was so excited and when my Fiance got home he was excited for me! I even brought the stamps to work to show them off! That's how excited I was. If it wasn't crazy to sleep with them in my bed I would have done it! Lol. Well here are the pictures of my new babies.

Lifestyle Change

So I know everyone makes New Year's Resolutions but this year I decided that instead of making a list of things to accomplish at once I would take one challenge at a time. I believe it was Jillian Michaels who posted on her FB page that it takes 12 days to develop a habit. My first habit was putting on makeup everyday. I know for some people this is a no brainer but for me this was hard. I was never a girly girl so make up was no big deal for me. I have now developed that as a habit and can't go a day without at least eye shadow and eye liner. My next habit to develop is to eat better and exercise. I am currently on day 2 but so far it has been so good. I pre-pack my food including snacks so I just grab and go in the morning. I also try not to eat past 8pm. This may be late for some people but I don't get home from work till 7 so dinner is kind of late for me. I also pre-make my breakfast so I can grab it and go in the morning. I have a Slim Fast shake with a banana, then about 3 hours later I have lunch, 2 hours after that it is a snack, 2 hours after that another Slim Fast shake, and finally come home and have a light dinner. I try to do some protein (chicken or turkey) with whole grain. So far the past 2 days have been good and I have felt full but not stuffed.

I also started walking again at work. Today my walking buddy couldn't go with me so instead I jumped on the Total Gym. I plan on making this a lifestyle and not just a diet and exercise fad because of the New Year. This is going to be part of my life. I won't go for an extreme I am just trying to make myself healthier. That's why I have not weighed myself and probably won't for a long time. I just want to eat right and feel good about myself. Wish me luck!

Charger Plate Gifts

I am on a roll this month! I am posting videos and also posting on my blog. Love it! Well today I have 2 projects I made with charger plates from Michael's. I got them for 99 cents and love that you can make a easy but wonderful gift. I was inspired by the charger plate I made last year for a challenge.

This first one is a snow themed plate. I cut the center circle at 8" with my Cricut. I also used Christmas Cheer Cartridge for the snowman. I purchased the large snowflake at Target and the garland from M's. The mound of snow on the bottom is grunge paper I painted with Picket Fence crackel paint. I stole the idea from a Mr. Tim Holtz. To add some sparkle I used glitter and Rock Candy Distress Stickels. "Let It Snow" was cut using Cricut font cartridge.

This next one is a Christmas themed one. I cut the center circle at 8 1/4" and it was a little big. Luckily I covered it up with a garland. The tree I Bought at Target and it is felt. I added some brads and a little mini garland. The star is from M's as well as the poinsettia. I used an inkadinkado stamp set for the saying.

Photo Stand

So many post this month. Lol. I wanted to share a photo stand I made for my Secret Sister. I bought the stand at Walmart and it is just a plastic stand that fits a 5x7 photo. I used the Once Upon a Time paper pack and cut a piece 5x10. I used mod podge to adhere it then I printed a picture from her Facebook. She is in love with her niece since that is the only one she has so I used a pic of her and her niece. I put some lace and pearl trim. Then I added some IAR white flowers as well as skeleton leaves. As a final touch I added pearl bling and a little pink crown. I gave it to her today since it was our reveal day at work and she cried when she got it. They were happy tears. I am so happy when people enjoy the gifts I give them.

Holiday Wreath

So I decided to update my wreath I hang on our front door. It was a blank green wreath when I bought and added some garland and bows I had on hand when I first got it but I decided to update it. The old one was faded from the sun and wasn't as pretty. I added some glittery ribbon and a bow. Then I hot glued some poinsettias from the holiday picks as well as some berries. I really like this new version better.

do other people keep up their blogs? November just flew by me and I don't know where it went. Well it is now December and I am in the Christmas spirit. I have 2 projects to quickly share. First is an interpretation of Tim's Day 1 tag and the second is some jars I made for a woman's event we are having tomorrow at my work. I got the recipe for the jars here.

Well all I tried but because I decided to take on a task during a busy time at work I was unable to finish the 13 Tags of Halloween. I'm very sad and disappointed in myself for not finishing. I do have an idea for Christmas but that is also a busy time for me too. So right now I am just going to work on some projects for myself and a few for work (we are having a craft night in November) and will post pics when I get a chance. Super bummed about it but I will move through it. Thanks all for understanding.

So I decided late into the month of October I was going to do my 13 Tags of Halloween that I did last year. This is similar to Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas. This year there is no challenge since I do not have a prize for the end. Last year I didn't have anyone participate so this is just something fun for me and for you if you want to play along. Pink-alicious Blog Hop Challenge

This is for My Pink Stamper's blog hop challenge. I made the cone using the Tie the Knot Cricut cartridge. I cut it at 5". I filled the bag with some sweets then tied it with ribbon. To the ribbon I added some glittered ornaments and a die cut of an ornament. The die cut was sprayed with gold glimmer mist then stamped with the saying "enjoy". I love how perfect the size of this is. Not too big and not too small.

Paris Birthday Card

I am on a roll with the cards. Lol. There are a few birthdays in the month of October at my work and I will probably be making each of the girls a card. This was for one of the girls who had her birthday this past week. She is a fan of Paris and is in love with anything from there so I made her this card.

I used Vintage Findings paper, lace, TH Distress Ink, IAR, Recollection's flowers, Eiffel Towe Die Cut, Embossing powder, TH Edge Distresser, cameo, and a flur de lis.

Friends card

This is a card I made for my friend at work. At the retreat we went to for my work this past summer, all the girls split up into partners to be prayer buddies for the school year. I made this card for my prayer buddy. I also made her a keychain to put the matching hearts we got on. I have a purple bead keychain and she got a blue one. Enjoy!

Birthday Card

I made this card for my SIL's birthday. I was very proud when I finishes it. My fiance even said it was once of the nicest cards i have made. I used some design paper for the first layer then dry embossed a second layer to bring out some of the color from the design paper. I added several I Am Roses to the corner. The medium sized roses I colored with a BIC marker. Then I colored the edges with a glitter pen. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and popped it up. I really liked the way it came out and my SIL loved it.

So summer has flown by and I have no idea where it went! I have been so busy with work I have not even had time to scrap much. Also, haven't had any mojo lately. So let me bring you guys up to speed. Not much happened in June except Summer School at my work. July my Fiance and I went on a scouting trip to Vegas to look at chapels since we plan on doing a Vegas Wedding. After looking at some little chapels we found what we where looking for. We are planning on getting married in the La Bella Wedding chapel located inside of the LV Hilton. So super excited our trip came out so well. I thought we would have to make at least 2 or 3 trips. August was pretty relaxing but not by much. So here are just some projects I worked on while I was away.

First is an altered box that I made with DCWV Mariposa Paper, some lace and some IAR flowers. If anyone can tell me how to properly glue the top piece of the the paper on to the box so that it has no gap when I open and close it would be greately appreciated.

The next project is for a co-worker/friend who got married in July. She got married the same weekend we went on our scouting trip so was not able to go to her wedding so I made her this frame. Used some Making Memories paper I had in my stash, Prima, TA, TH, IAR flowers, bling and lace.

Altered Box

So I finally got an opportunity to work on something fun and decided that it was going to be using this box I had been saving for a while. I simply painted the inside of the box with pitch black paint. Then covered the sides and top with DCWV Mariposa paper. I used some tissue tape to hide the seams of the paper and where the paint meets. Then I hung from the top a TH birdcage. I painted the birdcage with Pool and added some leaves and small roses. Also added some bling and lace. The bird I placed on top of the box then used some Prima flowers to cover the feet. Added some Prima flowers and leaf ribbon to accent. To cover the hole I made at the top of the box I made some TH roses and then added some bling.

I'm back! I know I say this every few months or so, but for sure I am back.

First, I'm Engaged!!! My Fiance proposed to me on March 24 so I have been in engegement bliss the past month! As soon as I get a great pic of my ring I will post it. The ones I have right now are way too blurry since my camera is not that great. Then I will also add my "How did he do it?" story. Second, work has just been crazy (again!) and last Sunday on my way to Church I had a mishap with my car. So the past month has flown by and I have done some LO but not much else. I have gotten tons of wedding ideas though! Today though, I am here to share a Birthday card I made for a friend of mine. More scrappy stuff is coming I promise!

Wall Hanging

To honor my cat that recently passed away I have made 2 projects of her. The first is a wall hanging that I truly enjoyed making. My boyfriend said we needed something to hang up of her that has lots of pictures. My second project is a 8x8 mini album. I have almost finished it but don't have the heart too. I know I am preserving her memory this way but somehow I feel that if I finish the book then I will never think about here again. I know one day I will finish it but for now it is incomplete.

Consumed by Grief

I am in tears as I write this but when I came home today I discovered one of my cats had passed away. I was the first to see her and knew instantly she was gone. My boyfriend called to her but of course she did not answer. I don't know exactly how it happened but we think she was very sick. She was tiny for her size and age and had a tendency to eat things off the floor or out of the trash cans. I was very careful to not put food in the trash put she would pull out paper or whatever she could find. Because of this she was constantly gagging and would throw up. We believe she threw up but then had some trouble breathing so she ran over to our sliding glass door, which I leave open a bit but with the screen door closed, and she tried to get a breath but instead passed away. If you know me you know I love my cats sooo much. I am very heartbroken and will miss her very much.

...for too long! I've been trying to get on here and post but have not been able too. Things around here have just been so busy. Ok to bring you guys up to speed I've been adding more stuff to my Etsy and had my first sale! Yay! Will add more stuff slowly but surely. Am finally working on scrappin' my Christmas pictures. I've just been so tired and it's been cold lately. Also, I've been trying to go to the gym so once I get home from there it is quite late. Nothing new really going on. CHA is this weekend and I wish I could go! I am so upset they don't have their Supershow this year! I had the chance to go last year and meet my idol Tim Holtz and I missed it. Yes I am kicking myself since like a few months after they announced there will not be a Supershow this year. Boo to CHA and the fact that they canceled the Supershow!

Happy 2011 to everyone! The past couple of weeks have been so busy. Work was crazy for the first 3 weeks of December then Christmas came and I took a much needed vacation. Then New Year's just came and went. I hope your year has started out well for you. Mine has been good so far. I have some resolutions but we will see how long they last. I will tell you that I am taking part of Marion's 31 Days challenge. You can find out more about this here.

I also have some good news for 2011. It looks like there may be wedding bells for me in the not too distant future. No there has been no proposal yet but there is a lot of talk. My boyfriend and I will celebrate 8 years this month and our lives seem to be in good places right now. I have a wonderful job that I love (though it is stressful at times) and he has finished school and is working but still waiting for his dream job. He is an RN and has had no luck finding work as an RN. We have been talking a lot about marriage and he asked me what kind of ring I would like. Before a proposal happens I know he has somethings he would like to get out of the way financially. Like for starters he needs a new car! I am not rushing him as I know things take time but it is nice to at least talk about it and what we want for our future together.

He is a really great guy and I know we've been together a long time but we both wanted to be in certain places in our lives before we got married. We both wanted to finish school (which we did!) and be financially stable. This part is especially important for him, as I suppose it is for any guy. So it looks like by the end of 2011 I will be talking about a marriage if not married. We want a small intimate wedding with our immediate families only. I sort of have been planning it since he graduated last year. Shhh don't tell him but I have most of the details done just waiting for him to get on one knee.

So that's my excitement and I hope this New Year brings you lots of excitement too!

Sorry guys had a busy day and was doing some projects for some of my friends who have birthdays this weekend. Will post 2 tags tomorrow.

The challenge was to use a scrap of paper. this is form a K&Co paper from last year's collection.

13 Tags of Halloween...{day 7}

Supplies: TH Distress Inks Dusty Concord, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Black Soot, Inkadinkado Stamp Creepy Crawly, White Cardstock, StazOn, Black Marker, heat gun/tool, ribbon, pop dots, mini mister.

Step 1: Ink up tag

Step 2: spray tag with mini mister

Step 3: Lift tag and let water drip down. If needed you can spray tag again.

Step 4: Dry tag.

Step 5: Ink up tag edges with Black soot

Step 6: stamp Image on tag with StazOn

Step 7: On separate piece of paper stamp image again. Also stamp 2 spiders. If you want you can stamp one more if you mess up the cutting later.

Step 8: Cut out images. This is why you stamp the extra image just in case you cut off a limb.

Step 9; Lightly ink web with black soot. Add cut image to stamped image with pop dots. Add one spider on top of we and the other on the tag.

Step 10: with marker write "Creepy" on tag. Add ribbon and done!

The challenge for this was 3D or dimensional. It is a simple tag but I like the way it came out. Thanks all!

13 Tags of Halloween...{day 6}

Supplies: TH Distress Ink Black Soot, Ink Blending Tool, material any kind you want, Ribbon, White Cardstock, black marker, ATG Gun, Charm.

Step 1: ink up tag with Black Soot.

Step 2: Cut fabric longer and wider than tag.

Step 3: using your ATG gun, randomly add strips of glue.

Step 4: Place Fabric on top and bunch up over adhesive. This was just a look thing for me. You don't have to if you don't want to.

Step 5: Cut excess fabric.

Step 6: Take Ribbon and wrap around tag.

Step 7: With the white cardstock, freehand a ghost. I used a picture I had on a stamp.

Step 8: Layer a second piece of white cardstock and cut.

Step 9: Using the black marker draw eyes and a mouth on the ghosts.

Step 10: Add ribbon and charm to top of tag.

The challenge for this was to use fabric. I used some sheer fabric I had since I wanted a flowy look because of the ghosts.

Supplies, Tattered Angels Deep Plum Glimmer Mist, TH Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink, StazOn, Pumpkin Stamp, Storybook Cartiridge, Cricut Machine, Inkadinkado Stamps Creepy Crawly, Stickles Crystal, Black Diamond, Green, Zip 2 Way Glue Pen, Dimensional Adhesive.

Step 1: Spray tag with TA Glimmer Mist

Step 2: Dry Tag

Step 3: On another piece of paper stamp 3 pumpkins with Spiced Marmalade.

Step 4: Using your Cricut or other die cutting system (or you can freehand) cut some vines or leaves.

Step 5: Cut out pumpkin images.

Step 6: At the top of Tag Stamp sentiment.

Step 7: Glue Vines down using 2 Way Glue pen.

Step 8: Add pumpkins. The first one I glued directly to the tag. The next one I used thin dimensional foam adhesive and for the last one a thicker dimensional foam adhesive.

Step 9: Use Stickles to bling up your tag!

The challenge for this was bling! The glimmer mist added lots of shine to the tag and the stickles all over the pumpkin and saying added even more. Hope you like it!

13 Tags of Halloween...{day 4}

Supplies: TH Distress Inks: Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, Black Soot, TA Glimmer Mist: Sunflower, Die Cut Frame, TH Embossing Ink, Black embossing powder, Inkadinkado Stamp: Creepy Crawly, Trick or Treat Stamp, StazOn Jet Black, Heat Gun, TH Retractable Pick or another paper piercer, piercing mat, ATG Gun, Brads, black eyelet, Crop a Dile, black fiber, dimensionals.

Step 1: Take your peeled paint distress ink and run it all over your tag making sure you get the edges really well.

Step 2: Take a piece of Paper that measures 5 1/2 by 2 7/8 and ink the top and bottom with Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord leaving the center.

Step 3: Ink the middle section with Black Soot.

Step 4: With your Mini Mister mist the paper until all the colors blends. The edges should mix together

Step 5: Dry tag.

Step 6: Take your die cut frame and ink up with distress embossing ink.

Step 7: Sprinkle frame with black embossing powder and tap off excess. Heat with your heat gun.

Step 8: Use your ATG Gun to adhere the piece to your tag.

Step 9: Using the Craft Pick, poke 4 holes on each corner of the piece of paper to add brads.

Step 10: Stamp and cut out your image for the frame. Using the Sunflower Mist, unscrew the cap and dip a paint brush in to paint the moon.

Step 11; Adhere frame at an angle on to tag. Stamp Trick or Treat saying on bottom with StazOn.

Step 12: With a dimensional adhere stamped image to center of frame and add eyelet and fiber.

The challenge for this one was to use a frame. As the days go on I love my tags even more. I hope you guys are having lots of fun as I am and I can't wait to see your tags too!

13 Tags of Halloween...{day 3}

Supplies: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Tiger Lily, Meadow Green, Deep Plum, Heat tool/gun, Inkadinkado Stamp: Creepy Crawly and Script, TH Distress Ink: Dusty Concord, Black Soot, StazOn ink, Prima Flowers: Black/orange, brad, TH lrg Flourish Die cut, Sticko black glitter stickers, glossy accents.

Step 1: Spray tags with TA Mist. I use this old box and some packaging paper in the box to spray mine. The packaging paper is great cause when it is all colored you can exchange it for a new one.

Step 2: Dry tag.

Step 3: Ink up stamp with Black soot distress ink. I only inked the top about 1/3 down. Stamp tag on the top and bottom leaving the middle.

Step 4: Using a bat from the Inkadinkado stamp set, I stamped the center of the tag with StazOn.

Step 5: Take your die cut flourish and ink it up with Dusty Concord.

Step 6: You can rub the ink over the die cut or use a ink blending tool or sponge dabber if you prefer.

Step 7: With Glossy accents, glue flourish down. I made sure not to cover the bat.

Step 8: Take your Prima flowers and put them together with a brad.

Step 9: Here I used a black flower behind an orange one that was previously white but I misted with Tiger Lily.

Step 10: Add Flower to end of flourish with Glossy Accents. Use Sticker to spell out Boo!

Love how this came out but I think I say that about all my tags so far! The challenge for this was to use flower/flowers. Hope you all give it a try!

13 Tags of Halloween...{day 2}

Ok so this one didn't make it after midnight but it is still day 2

Supplies: distress inks: peeled paint, spiced marmalade, black soot, heat gun/tool, distress embossing ink, UTEE, clear embossing powder, Inkadinkado Stsmps (Creepy Crawly), ribbon, Grungeboard shapes, Distress Crackle Paint Rock Candy, StazOn Jet Black, Archival Ink, Scissors, tape, dimensional adhesive, glossy accents, mini mister, TH Mini Stapler.

Step 1: Ink up tag with Spiced Marmalade.
STOP! Before you continue to the next step make sure your ink completely dries. Distress Inks are wonderful to emboss with and before you can continue to the next step your tag must dry first.

Step 2: Using distress embossing ink stamp pumpkin image 3 times on tag.

Step 3: Sprinkle with clear embossing powder. Tap off excess and return to bottle

Step 4: Heat images. See this is why you need to make sure the tag dries before stamping images. If not you will have embossing powder all over your entire tag.

Step 5: using Peeled Paint ink over entire tag once more. Spray a paper towel with water and wipe off excess ink from embossed images.

Step 6: Using a border stamp, stamp across tag. I used Archival Ink for this.

Step 7: Take your grungeboard piece, I used a skull and crossbones, and ink it up.

Step 8: Sprinkle UTEE on top and heat. Don't heat all the way just enough to melt the UTEE but leave a nice rough texture.

Step 9: Stamp your saying on a separate piece of paper.

Step 10: Cut out Image and ink with distress ink, Peeled Paint.

Step 11: Using Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint, paint over saying and let dry.

Step 12: Tape the back of the ribbon so it adheres to the tag. I placed mine towards the bottom of the tag.

Step 13: Watch carefully, I cut the corner of the top of the tag at an angle. DO NOT discard the piece you cut off.

Step 14: Place the piece turned around on the opposite side and cut. Now you have identical cuts on both sides of the tag.

Step 15: using Glossy Accents adhere grungeboard piece to tag on top of the ribbon.

Step 16: Grab your saying. If it is not dry you can use your Heat gun to speed up the process. using spiced marmalade ink over all the cracks then grab that moist towel again and wipe off any excess ink. Adhere to tag with dimensional adhesive.

Step 17: Add black Ribbon to top and using your TH Mini Stapler to attach Ribbon.

The challenge for this was to use Heat Embossing. I liked the emboss resist technique as well as using the Distress Crackle paint. Hope you guys like it!

supplies: craft sheet, TH distress inks in dusty concord, spiced marmalade, peeled paint, black soot, Paper edge distresser, Inkadinkado Halloween stamp: Creepy Crawly, Cricut Machine, Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge, mini mister, heat tool/gun, sponge dabbers, ink blending tool, making memories halloween charm, black fiber, Zig 2 way glue pen, dimensional adhesive

Step 1: apply dusty concord, peeled paint, spiced marmalade to craft sheet and use mini mister to spray colors.

Step 2: Press tag into ink and cover tag completely. When pressing on ink you can pick any part of the craft sheet to cover tag completely.

Step 3: Dry tag with heat gun.

Step 3: using a sponge dabber, ink edges with dusty concord all the way around.

Step 4: Ink up your background stamp (mine is a web) with StazOn or another black ink. and stamp on to tag in center and 2 corners.

Step 5: Cut your image you want with your Cricut Machine or any other machine. Or use a favorite large stamp for your image.

Step 6: Take your paper edge distresser and distress the edges of the tag.

Step 7: Stamp (use a water resistant ink) and cut out your saying for your tag.

Step 8: Ink edges then spray with water. Don't soak but just get it moist. Crumble paper up into a little ball.

Step 9: Open up saying. Heat and dry. Use Tweezers if needed.

Step 10: Glue saying down then pop up cut out with dimensionals.

Step 11: Take Charm and add an additional jump ring.

Step 12: Add charm to black fiber and loop onto tag.

This was super fun and easy! The challenge for this was distress and I think this has a lot of it with the inks and the paper distress as well as misting and crumpling the saying.. I really like and can't wait for tomorrow! Hope you guys enjoyed this!

Okay so here is that special announcement I told you guys about! Starting October 1st I will be doing an event similar to Tim Holtz's 12 tags of Christmas. Instead, because it is October and near Halloween, I will be doing 13 Tags of Halloween. Everyday I will post a new tag for you to see. I will do my best to try and do it ala Tim Holtz and take pictures of the different things I do to create each and every tag. If I can I will try to also post everything after midnight like Tim does.

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! I spent today going to 4 Michael's trying to find the Pink ATG Gun! I have been waiting to buy it to use a 50% off coupon but every store I went to was out of stock. My wonderful boyfriend went with me to all the stores and even helped me look. He is buying me the ATG Gun as an early birthday present but like I said we were unsuccessful in finding. He said it was ok and we will just get it when they have it back in stock with a 40% off coupon. He is the best! So that is how my day went. I did finish a Halloween Mini and got a video of my New Moon tags done and ready to ship. Here is a picture of my tags.

Sweatin' to...the heat!

Hi all! Here in Southern Cali we have been having a heatwave! If I didn't work with AC I would be dying from the heat! On top of that I have some rather upsetting news. In a previous post I had mentioned my brother-in-law and that he is sick with Hodgkins Lymphoma. A recent PET Scan has shown that his tumor has not changed from the chemotherapy he has been doing. Because of this the doctors have decided on more intense Chemo and overnight hospital stays. My sister has 2 kids, one with her husband, and works nights and weekends. There is power in prayer and I am reaching out to all of you to please keep him in your prayers and my sister and their family. This is a hard time and he is a young dad and they've only been married 4 years. I want to thank all of you in advance.

Hi everyone!

I hope you have all been enjoying your summer so far! I can't believe it is August and summer is almost over! I am finally taking a day off and am going to enjoy a day at the spa here in California. If you live in Southern Cali in the LA/OC area you know about Glen Ivy Hot Spring Spa. I don't get any massages but I do enjoy lounging in the pools, saunas, hot tubs, and clay/mud bath. If you have never been there you should take a day and just go! I will be spending the day there with my boyfriend and can't wait to relax! Of course I will be taking lots of pics and I will post them after. Hope you guys are taking some time for yourselves this summer!

So I see I haven't posted in a while and that's only cause I have no idea where time has gone! Lol. Well I have been up to some trades and swaps, mostly for items, from the group Your Paper Pantry. I have been working on some side stuff but nothing that I am keeping myself but more for gifts. I have been enjoying my lazy summer days even though I still work. I am in the midst (sp?) of planning a vacation but with money being so tight not sure if it will be a long or short one. I am in a super good mood cause I have been able to come up with some crafty things lately. My recent projects have included greeting cards and a lot of the inspiration comes from Robyn over at My Pink Stamper. I also started and finished rather quickly a disney mini that I really love as well. BlueMoon Recycled Mist Challenge!

Ok so I think I got out of my funk and last night I made my entry for the BlueMoon Recycle Mist challenge. If you guys are interested in joining here is the link. Here is my entry:

The background paper was originally what I misted on. I had done some letters and some flowers in SWAK, Cherry Blossom and Pearl originally on the paper. I added my fav color since I'm not fond of pinks and I used the Timeless Romance Stencils with Spiced Rum to add to the background. I adhered my photo of me and my boyfriend then added some ribbon and a lollipop flower from my friend Anne. Then I added some Prima Bling and stamped the word 'love' with a Heidi Swapp stamp. I left it pretty simple only because that's the type of person I am and I wanted the main focus to be the picture. This is only a 8x8 size so not much space but I really like the way it came out. Hope I win!

I have scrapper's block!!! I hate it! I struggled through my last tags for the swap and now I can't even think about scrapping anything. I don't know what it is. I had fun making tons of ribbons flowers but haven't used any on my projects as of yet. I think it's because I don't have pictures of anything to scrap. Nothing exciting has happened around here lately and I don't have any kids and honestly there are only so many cat scrapbook pages you can make. I need a boost guys, any takers?

The themes was Beach/Summer and the challenge was to be super dimensional. I was dimensional but like I said I struggled with my idea for this tag. This challenge was make something with/for a child. Now I don't have kids but I do have nieces and nephews. I decided to make a necklace for my niece. I used my Storybook Cartridge and cut out the heart and shadow. Then I Embossed over the intricate heart and adhered it to the backing. In between I added Diamond Dust attached a jump ring and some ribbon and Viola! Instant cuteness!

Yay I made it to #4!! I have been scrapping most of the morning and got the rest of challenge 2 done and completed 3 and 4!! I am so proud of myself. I stopped to post pics so I will continue to keep posting until I have completed all the challenges. For this challenge I had to use my least fav or least used cartridge. Well I love all my cartridges but I did notice I have been neglecting my Base Camp cart. So I cut out the Kiss kiss, hug hug at 3 1/2 in. then matted it on the shadow blackout. I had these cute pics of my cats and me so it fit perfectly. .

Ok here is #3. Now for this one I was suppose to do something I normally don't do so for this one I used glitter. On the stamped cupcake I added loose glitter as well as glitter glue. Now I love shimmer on my work but I would rather use my GM to do that. Glitter glue is fine for me but the one thing I don't really like to use is loose glitter. To me it is just to messy! Well hope you enjoy!

Here is my entry for Challenge #2. The scrap piece of paper is the bottom half of the tag. I used a swirl embossing folder for the top half to match the swirls in the scrap paper. This was a fun tag to make.

Here it is! My entry for My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day challenge #1. I got a late start and even now I've only managed to do one project! I am going to try and catch up but they are up to Challenge #10 already. Well 1 down 9 more to go!

Tim Holtz and Aaron Brothers

In case some of you didn't know or haven't heard, the framing store Aaron Brothers is now exclusively carrying Tim Holtz products! I found out because I watched one of Bona's videos and she had learned about it from Rose! So of course I went on their website (aaronbrothers.com) and check out what they had. I looked and they had a 40% off coupon on their website so I printed it out and then searched my nearest Aaron Brothers. To my suprise there is one right next to the Michael's by my work! So I went in and they have tons of TH and 7 Gypsies stuff! I couldn't believe it! While I was there I was very kindly helped and even spent a few minutes talking to the manager of the store. He was really nice and was asking me if I have ever tried alcohol inks! He said they all had played with them when they first got them and he loves them! He also told me they are getting the glossy paper that Tim uses! Love it!

They carry lots of stuff that you don't normally find at Michael's like lots of his hardware, grungepaper, distress embossing powders, his HEAT Tool!, and so much more! I was in Tim Holtz heaven! Okay just thought I had to share that.

Life has been crazy! Last month I got a chance to do my tags in one day and this month it took me almost a week! It also took me a few tries before I decided what to do. The theme was flowers/roses so I dry embossed a flower background which I then inked over with Broken China. I also embossed the edges of the tags with silver embossing powder and edged it with my edging tool. The challenge was to use fabric. Well that is where I got stuck! After a day I think I finally knew how to incorporate fabric. I remembered I had some fabric flowers from the Scrap Expo I went to in October. I also wanted to use a new stamp and some spiral clips I got for a great deal at Michael's. As a touch (and I scrap lifted from another swapper from last month!) I added everyone's initials using my Cricut. I used the Storybook cartridge and used the accent key for the light blue part. I put some diamond dust, added an eyelet and some ribbon and fiber and ta-da! All done!

I know I don't ever seem to get aroung to posting on here anymore. Just have been busy (and a bit lazy!) to do so. I did just want to say I have the vid for my tags from Arlene's Tag Swap. I guess since it is late in the month I will post it now. I also have pics of my Recipe Box. Hope you guys are having a Scraptacular time out there!

Oh forgot to mention, I am planning on submitting some of my work to the LA County Fair this year. Just having some trouble deciding what to submit. Keep your fingers crossed I win a Ribbon!

That is how I have been feeling. I have been whipping out projects left and right and have been having lots of fun doing it! I joined Arlene's tag swap for March and as soon as she annonced all the details I made my tags! I want to show you guys but I want to wait a little bit longer before I do since I am probably the only one who has done them. You can check out Arlene's Blog here.

I have also been trying some new stuff. I am going through my YouTube favorites and doing some of the projects from there. I recently finished Marion's Recipe Box and it came out really cute. I will post pics or a vid of it soon. Hope you guys are feeling as crafty as I am!
